Hope Ellis Darnell passed peacefully in the arms of her loving parents on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Hope was born on Friday, February 19, 2010, at 8:22 a.m. in Birmingham, Alabama. During Hopes eight short days here on Earth she touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Hopes brief life is a gift from God to all of us that will live on in our hearts, richly blessing us forever. Hope is the daughter of Gregory Heath and Kimberly Ellis Darnell of Birmingham, Alabama. She is survived by two sisters, Noel McAlexander and Gracie Darnell. Hopes paternal grandparents are Don and Diane Finklea of Mobile, Alabama; and maternal grandparents are Jacqueline Merchant of Sylacauga, Alabama and Leon and Amy Ellis of Columbus, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Beersheba Cemetery in Columbus, Mississippi. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter and Peel Funeral Home.
