Dr. Phillip E. Bromley

March 19, 1939 — April 12, 2013

DR. PHILLIP BROMLEY Dr. Phillip Eugene Bromley, age 74, died peacefully surrounded by his family, Friday, April 12, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Columbus. Dr. Bromley was born on Sunday, March 19, 1939 in Jackson, MI to the late Francis and Esma Taylor Bromley. He grew up in Jackson, Michigan where he attended Jackson High School. He played basketball at Eastern Michigan University where he received his undergraduate and Masters Degree. He then earned his PHD at Michigan State University. He was a Professor at the University of West Florida where he authored and directed Programs for the University as well as the United States Navy and the Canadian Armed forces. He continued on with Organizational/clinical Psychology at the corporate and the individual level. After his professional career, he moved to Brooksville, Mississippi where he enjoyed a slower pace involving reading, gardening, and preparing fields at the camp house for his family's enjoyment. His proudest personal achievements revolved around his family. He successfully raised six children and was happily married to Pam for 51 years. Honesty, integrity, and loyalty were some of his finest characteristics and constantly guided the way he lived his life. At an early age, he realized the importance of seeking the truth in his daily journey with God. He passed this important legacy on to his family. He enjoyed countless hours of supporting his children's activities including softball, cheerleading, baseball, and football.
