Martha Josephine Bearden Cade, age 101, of Columbus, MS, died September 24, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Private family services will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Okolona, MS, with Rev. Ron McDougald officiating and Gunter & Peel Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Cade was born January 22, 1909, in Okolona, MS, to the late W. E. and Annice Buchanan Bearden, Sr. She was a graduate of Draughons Business College in Memphis, TN, and has been a resident of Trinity Place Retirement Community for over 30 years. Mrs. Cade was a member of First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edgar Cade, brother, W. E. Bearden, III, and sisters, Annice Bearden and Jennie Lee Rafield.
