MADIE GERALDINE BROWN Madie Geraldine Gibson Brown, age 80, of Columbus, MS, passed away March 14, 2011, at Aurora Health & Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 16, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Gillis officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was born July 6, 1930, to the late Elbert and Henrietta Milstead Gibson. She moved to Columbus from Meridian, MS, in 1961 and was a retired cosmetologist. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Community Baptist Church and attended the Stateline Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and her world revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Marden Brown. Survivors include her son, Mike Brown (Jackie) of Tupelo, MS, daughter, Kathy Adams (Jack) of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Courtney Williams, Amber Stafford, Amanda Brown, Wendy Stafford, and Kacy Howell, and great grandchildren, Caitlin Williams, Paige Williams, Trey Williams, Kearstyn Stafford, Addison Gable, Connor Gable, Madison Stafford, Anna Claire Stafford, Bo Howell, Brody Howell, and Austin Lancaster. Pallbearers will be Frank Ferguson, Mike Williams, Trey Huey, Billy Secrest, Tim Williams, Bobby Stafford, Bill Rideout, and Kenny Belk. Memorials may be made to the Stateline Baptist Church.
