OLLIE RICKMAN - Ollie Mae Corbell Rickman, age 86, of Columbus, MS, died January 2, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. David Woods officiating and Rev. William N. Franks assisting. The interment will immediately follow at Furnace Hill Cemetery in Vernon, AL. The visitation will be Monday, January 4, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Rickman was born February 11, 1923, in Lamar County, AL to the late Garvin and Millie Adell Hudson Corbell. She was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Raiford Rickman, and granddaughter Stacy Rickman Maddox. Survivors include her sons, Glenn Rickman (Anita) of Caledonia, MS, and Edwin Rickman (Sue) of Tuscaloosa, AL, brother, Wesley Corbell of Vernon, AL, sisters, Ila "Judy" Coggins of Columbus, MS, Ruby Atkins of Caledonia, MS, and Lavern Price of Ethelsville, AL, grandchildren, Heather Rickman of Caledonia, MS, Elaina Karg (Brian) of Caledonia, MS, and D. J. Rickman (Lindsey) of McCalla, AL, great granddaughter, Maddilyn Edgeworth (Michael) of Tuscaloosa, AL, and great great grandson, Gavin Edgeworth of Tuscaloosa, AL. Pallbearers will be Brian Karg, David Gahetti, Gene Corbell, Johnny Rogers, and Eddie Rushing. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of The Arrington and Baptist Memorial Hospital.
