Gladys Davis George, age 94, of Columbus, MS, died July 27, 2010, at Trinity Healthcare of Columbus. Graveside services will be Monday, August 2, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating and Rev. Ron McDougald assisting. Visitation will also be Monday, August 2, 2010, at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until service time. Mrs. George was born August 15, 1915 in Columbus, MS, to the late Aaron and Nellie Moore Davis. She was a life long resident of Columbus and graduate of S. D. Lee High School. Mrs. George retired as a fashion manager from Ruth's Ladies Store and Woolworth and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce Foster, Ellis McCrary, and Parker George, and sisters, Louse King, Sadie Robinson, and Selma Smith. Survivors include her son, A. B. Foster and his wife Betty of Columbus, MS, step-son, Allen Ray McCrary of Columbus, MS, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
