Larry Frazier Baird, age 67, of Columbus, MS, passed away May 30, 2013, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Raigan Miskelly officiating and Rev. Anne Russell Bradley and Rev. Tony Proctor assisting. Visitation will be held on Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Baird was born July 12, 1945, in Houston, MS, to the late Robert Lee and Shirley Faye Frazier Baird. He attended the University of Chattagnooga where he played football. He also played football at Delta State University where he graduated with B.S. and M.B.A. degrees. He worked in hospital administration at Greenwood Leflore Hospital and Golden Triangle Regional Medical Center and as the administrator of Alexander's Home Health Agency in Columbus, MS. Survivors include his wife of forty three years, Susan Johnson Baird of Columbus, MS, daughter, Marjorie Elizabeth, and son-in-law, Richard Kevin Petty of Houston, TX, son, Larry Patrick, and daughter-in-law, Lindsay Michelle, sister, Zandra Younger, brothers, Robert Michael (Gay), Danny Paul (Debra), and Timothy Lee (Kay), grandchildren, Christopher Price Petty, Nicholas Tyler Petty, Hannah Elizabeth Petty, Sophia Anneliese Petty, and Gabrielle Christian Baird. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Brian Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Justin Baird, Adam Baird, Miles Baird, and Conner Baird. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O.
