WILLIAM N. BELL William Newton Bell, age 82, died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. Services will be held Tuesday, September 02, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church with Dr. Breck Ladd and Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Monday, September 01, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Mr. Bell was born on Thursday, October 01, 1931 in Pickens County, AL to the late Joseph Newton and Margaret Watkins Bell. He was a member and Deacon at Fairview Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and the VFW. He was a retired service manager for Ray Olds-GMC in Columbus. Mr. Bell was also a Forest Community Volunteer Fireman, and chairman of the Forest Cemetery Committee. Survivors include: Wife: Beth Caston Bell, Ethelsville, AL Daughter: Debbie McLaurin, Ethelsville, AL Son: Ronnie Bell (Becky), Ethelsville, AL Sister: Jo Alyce Moore (Lawrence), Ethelsville, AL Brothers: George Bell (Inez), Ethelsville, AL Larry Bell (Cherrie), Smyrna, GA Grandchildren: Brian Bell (Jennifer), Tuscaloosa, AL Michael McLaurin, Guntersville, AL Johnathan Bell, Ethelsville, AL Steven McLaurin, Guntersville, AL Great Grandson : William Baker Bell, Tuscaloosa, AL A host of nieces and nephews. The Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brian Bell, Michael McLaurin, Jonathan Bell, Steven McLaurin, and nephews, Tim Moore, and Anthony Bell.
