ERVENA L. EARWOOD Ervena Loretta Earwood age 95 died Sunday, November 02, 2014 at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. Services will be held Wednesday, November 05, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Ray, Rev. Danny Burks, and Rev. Justin Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Hatley, MS. Visitation will be held Tuesday November 4, 2014 from 5 until 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Earwood was born on Thursday, October 02, 1919 in Jasper County, MS to the late Erve Heidelberg and Elizabeth Waldrop Windham. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Caledonia and a graduate of Antioch High School, and Jones County Junior College. She was a retired case worker for the Department of Human Services in Lowndes and Monroe Counties. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Starling C. Earwood, and her son Charles Earwood. Survivors include: One Daughter: Loretta Earwood, Amory, MS Four Sons: Dale Earwood (Shirley), Warrior, AL Mickey Earwood (Gwen), Columbus, MS Mitch Earwood (Debra), Clay, AL David Earwood (Ann), Trussville, AL One Sister: Margaret Saxon, Laurel, MS Nine Grandchildren: Lynnell Ramey Alan Earwood Larry Earwood DeWayne Earwood Stacey Holland Michael Williams Deena Parrish Leah Earwood Drew Earwood 16 Great Grandchildren The Pallbearers will be: Alan Earwood, Larry Earwood, DeWayne Earwood, Michael Williams, Drew Earwood, Jim Parrish, Jay Holland, and Bronson Miller The Honorary Pallbearers will be: Deacons of New Salem Baptist Church.
