Charles E. "Charlie" Weathers, age 57, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 15, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glenn Griffin officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Lamar County, AL. Visitaion will be Monday, November 17, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Weathers was born October 24, 1957, in Columbus, MS, to the late Marvin and Charlie Faye Moore Weathers. He was a lifelong resident of Columbus and Lowndes County and was a graduate of Lee High School where he played baseball. Mr. Weathers was retired from Weyerhaueser after many years and attended the Hwy 69 Church of Christ. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Weathers. Survivors include his son, Jacob Weathers and his wife Ashley of Columbus, MS, daughters, Cassie Dubuque and her husband Don of Columbus, MS, and Katie Weathers of Columbus, MS, his mother Charlie Faye Moore Weathers of Columbus, MS, brothers, Jim Weathers of Orlando, FL, Danny Weathers of Columbus, MS, and Don Weathers of Columbus, MS, sister, Carolyn Brown of Columbus, MS, and grandchildren, Tessa Weathers, Cade Weathers, Brianna Dubuque, Charles Tyler Weathers, Benjimen Weathers, Gavin Cassidy, and Amy Alyssa Cassidy. Pallbearers will be Gary Blanton, Jeff Blanton, Jimmy Blanton, Chris Oswalt, Jimmy Hall, and Gary Weathers. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3100 Samford Ave., Shreveport, LA, 71103.
