ROBERT E. HARRIS Robert Earl "Uncle Bob" Harris age 85 died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Ray officiating, burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Friday, November 21, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Mr. Harris was born on Thursday, October 10, 1929 in Pickens County, AL to the late Henry J. and Lillian Hollis Harris. He was of the Baptist faith, and a retired self-employed painter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and NASCAR, and was a member of the Lion's Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Yarbrough, Lou Emma Bigham, Lorraine Oiler, Lucille Harris, and Louise Bailey, and his brothers, Sam Harris, and Henry "Buck" Harris.
