Daniel Sherman (Big Sherm) of Columbus, age 30, died at his residence Sunday, November 16, 2014. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. A memorial service, with Rev. Glenn Miller officiating, will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Daniel was a wonderful person, who loved to play tricks and practical jokes on his friends. He was born December 22, 1983 in Knoxville, TN. He spent most of his childhood in Seymour, TN, Colorado Springs, CO and Interlachen, FL. He moved back to Columbus several years ago to live with his mother. He worked as a chef for Fresh Foods for a time at the University of Alabama. He was predeceased by his grandparents Harry and Alma Sherman, William I. and Lilla Pratt Rosamond and his great niece Xeilla Parker. He is survived by his parents Merrill Rosamond of Columbus, MS and Harry F. Sherman of Interlachen, FL; his brother Aja Sherman of Interlachen, FL; his three sisters Shelby Sherman of Cedar Bluff, AL, Jodie Stolle of Grain Valley, MO; and Leah Bennett of Murfreesboro, TN. and his uncle and aunt Bill and Lynne Rosamond and his cousin Julia Rosamond. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews who adored him, Sidney Parker (Allen), Andy, Jess and Isabella Underwood; Blake, Brayden and Lahna Stolle , great niece Ziadney Parker and the love of his life April Wiegel, his fiancé and, and his dog Shorty.
