Frankie Roselyn Weaver Harpole, age 81, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 23, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Brown officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Houston City Cemetery in Houston, MS. Vistation will be Friday, November 28, 2014, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Harpole was born January 9, 1933, in Houston, MS, to the late Franklyn and Mattie Mae Fleming Weaver. She was known and loved by everyone as Frankie Rose. She grew up on a cattle farm outside of Houston, MS, was always an active member in her church and had a deep love for her Lord. Frankie Rose graduated from Houston High School and then went on to Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, MS, where she received a degree in Music Education in 1954. When she came to Columbus in 1950 by way of bus, she met a handsome man, Stanley Harpole, who was employed at the Trailways Bus Company. This man would become her husband in 1953. Frankie Rose spent many happy years raising two daughters, Vicki and Lisa, teaching piano, and serving in many capacities at Calvary Baptist Church of Columbus. Over the years she served as organist, Minister of Music, worked with the Girls Auxiliary (GA's) and Royal Ambassaddors (RA's), youth ministry, and senior adult ministry. Frankie was an accomplished piano teacher who lovingly taught many students in Columbus as well as Caledonia and surrounding areas. She had many award winning students and she received awards for her accomplishments also. Frankie was an active member of Mississippi Music Teachers Association (MMTA), the Columbus Music Study Club, and The Golden Triangle Music Teachers Forum. After battling breast cancer and becoming a survivor, she formed a support group at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Frankie (MeeMaw) enjoyed her four grandchildren, Trey, Tiffany Rose, Titus, and Tory Cox, and always guided them in their music education. She held a very special place in their hearts and in their lives. Frankie is survived by her husband, Stanley, daughters, Vicki Cox and Lisa Heath (Walter), and grandchildren, Trey, Tiffany, Titus, and Tory Cox. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
