James Allen "J. T." Taylor, age 55, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away November 22, 2014, at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1, 2014, at 12:00 PM at Annunciation Catholic Church with Father Robert Dore officiating. Visitation will be Monday, December 1, 2014, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Annunciation Catholic Church. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Taylor was born January 9, 1959, in Fayette, AL, to Nettie Griffin Randolf of Crossville, AL, and the late Theo Taylor. He was a graduate of Lamar County High School. Mr. Taylor worked as a general contractor on residential homes and small commercial properties. He was also a licensed real estate agent and home inspector and member of the National Homebuilders Association. "J.T."was a loving husband, a great father, a little league coach and a good friend to many. Mr. Taylor was a past member of Annunciation Catholic Church of Columbus, MS, and present member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Rock Hill, SC. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Patricia "Trish" Taylor of Rock Hill, SC, daughter, Casey Taylor Ward and her husband Lamar of Caledonia, MS, son, Zach Taylor of Starkville, MS, brother, Jeff Taylor of Guin, AL, sister, Rita Jordan and her husband Jeff of Jemison, AL , and grandchildren, Sophia Ward and Turner Ward of Caledonia, MS. He was the son-in-law to Don and Linda Tardy of Picayune, MS and brother-in-law to Lisa and Ron Delaney of Hattiesburg, MS, Don and Debbie Tardy of Picayune, MS, Lori and John Banchero of Petal, MS and Stevan and Molly Tardy of Raleigh, NC, and an uncle to eleven nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Annunciation Catholic School, 223 N. Browder, Columbus, MS, 39702.
