Louise Williams Pack, age 87, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Windsor Place Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2014 beginning at 10:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. The service will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Gunter & Peel Funeral Home, with Rev. Melvin Mordecai officiating Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The daughter of the late David Leslie and Ida Lou Morton Williams, Mrs. Pack was born October 3, 1927 in Columbus, MS. She was a member of Plymouth Baptist Church. She worked for Charles Younger and Thomas McCrary when they were Justices of the Peace. She was the first Justice Court Clerk for Lowndes County, appointed in 1984. She also associated with The Bath Station for many years .In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Harold "Shorty" Williams, Everette Williams, Donald Ray Williams and Ed Williams, her sister Frances Crumpton and her husband Nathan Pack, Jr., who died in 2008. She is survived by her son and daughter -in-law Nate and Marilyn Pack, her daughters and sons-in-law Cindy and Butch Glenn and Carol and Danny Walden, and her sisters Elaine Simon and Linda Stotts, and her sisters-in-law Alethea Williams, Faye Williams and Lynda Williams, all of Columbus. She is also survived by three grandchildren Gabe Boykin (Valerie), Robert Pack (Christin) and Andrew Pack (ClaraAnn) and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gabe Boykin, Robert Pack, Andrew Pack, Ronnie Atkins, Tommy Jones, Nick Simon, and Sam Bardwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Walden, Butch Glenn, Dr. Brett Brown, the Staff of Windsor Place and the Staff of the Arrington. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Staffs of the Arrington and Windsor Place Nursing Homes for their loving care, and also to the many personal care professionals for their dedicated and loving care during her stay at the Arrington.
