Sanford Marion "Bubba" Pullen, Jr., age 74, died Monday, December 22, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter& Peel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 23, 2014 beginning at 2:30 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. The service will follow at 3:30 PM in the chapel of Gunter & Peel, officiated by Dr. Shawn Parker. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery. The son of the late Sanford M. and Mary Agnes Belcher Pullen, Mr. Pullen was born May 8, 1940 in Columbus, MS. He was a graduate of Stephen D. Lee Senior High School and was the owner of Bubba's Appliance Repair. He was also a member of First Baptist Church, Columbus Lodge #5, F. & A.M. and the Man Cave. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his older brother Thomas Mansfield Pullen. He is survived by his wife Mary Pullen of Columbus, his daughter Lynn Pullen of Holly Springs, MS, his brother and sister-in-law James Everett and Melinda Pullen of Columbus, a nephew Jimmy Pullen (Mandy) and a niece Ann Collins (Scott). Pallbearers will be Bill Fromm, Jimmy Lann, Kenneth McCann, Eddie Rickman, Joe Price, Bubba Comer, Jimmy Pullen and Austin Dison. Honorary pallbearers will be Mickey Fromm, Mickey Earwood, Mike Perkerson, Bill Burris, Eddie Baker, Charlie Hutchinson, and the Man Cave members. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 829, Columbus, MS 39703.
