Karen Renee Collins, age 59, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 7, 2015, at her residence. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 12:00 PM at Grady Cemetery in Grady, AR. Visitation will be Friday, January 9, 2015, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Miss Collins was born Novemer 13, 1955, in Chattanooga, TN, to the late Gene and Eda Bittinger Collins. She received her Bachelors Degree in Business from Mississippi University for Women and served in the United States Air Force from 1975 - 1979. Miss Collins owned and operated Partytime Playland Daycare and also Olde Tyme Wine & Liquor Store and was currently working at Walmart. She was a former member of the Caledonia United Methodist Church where she served as choir director and had recently been confirmed as a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. Miss Collins was also a former Girl Scout leader. Survivors include her brother, Steven L. Collins and his wife Kary, sisters, Donna S. Mann and her husband Jeff, and Vicki Reed and her husband William, nieces, Eda Joann Dennis and her husband Chuck, Jennifer Baker and her husband Scotty, Jessica Davis and her husband Wayne, and Jamie Alford and her husband Justin, nephews, Tristan W. Mann, Steven L. Collins, Jr., and his wife Angelia, and Billy D. Reed and his wife Chelsey, great nieces, Leanna Baker, Sarah Harmond, Rachael Davis, Leah Davis, Tara Davis, and Kylee Reed, and great nephews, Noah Baker, Justin Dennis, Shawn Baker, Alex Harmond, James Dennis, and Collin Reed.
