SARAH BRADY Sarah Louise Tirey Brady, 84, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with Father Robert Dore officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Sarah was born October 18, 1930, to John and Naomi Tirey in Columbus, Mississippi. She was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School in 1948 and of Mississippi State College for Women (MSCW) in 1952. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. Sarah worked briefly at Greenville Air Force Base where she met the love of her life, Jack Brady. They were married on August 7, 1954, at Annunciation Catholic Church and moved to Columbus in 1955. Sarah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as a very kind and thoughtful person. She was a gentle soul who devoted her life to her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She leaves all of her children and grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved. She will be greatly missed by her family, but she left them with many wonderful memories. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, John ("Jack") Brady. She is survived by her son, John Brady and his wife Kimberly of Tupelo, Mississippi; daughter, Theresa Brady Goldberg and her husband Greg of Tupelo, Mississippi, daughter, Beth Brady Teubert and her husband John of Madison, Alabama; grandchildren, Barrett Brady and his wife Stephenie of Tupelo, Mississippi, Tirey Brady and his wife Mary Ann of Jackson, Tennessee, Jack Brady of Tupelo, Mississippi, and Jackson Teubert of Madison, Alabama; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cecelia and Bob Cather of Lincoln, Nebraska; nieces and nephews, Scott and Kathy Cather of Lincoln, Nebraska, Carol and Mike McKee of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Linda and Scott Johnson of Ames, Iowa. Pallbearers will be Greg Goldberg, John Teubert, Barrett Brady, Tirey Brady, Jack Brady and Jackson Teubert. The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to Father Robert Dore, Dr. JamesWoodard, the staff at Trinity Healthcare, Baptist Memorial Hospice and to her beloved caregivers Claudiedell Bennett and Lucy Brown.
