LORENE BROOKS Lorene Brooks age 91 died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her residence in Columbus. Services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Billy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery near Dancy, MS. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Brooks was born on Sunday, April 01, 1923 in Clay County, MS to the late Robert Franklin and Oma Forrester White. She was a member of Columbus Church of Christ and a homemaker. She loved being outdoors tending to her flowers and plants, but her greatest joy came from being a mother, grandmother, and caring for others. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Robert, Roy F., and Vernon White.
