Joseph Marion "Joe" Vaughn, age 50, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. According to his wishes, his ashes will be scattered in a favorite area by his family. The son of the late Curtis J. and Betty Holcomb Vaughn, Joe was born September 13, 1964 at the Columbus Air Force Base Hospital, Columbus, MS. He graduated from Millport High School and had been employed as a meat cutter at the Columbus AFB commissary for five years when he became ill. He had previously worked in the same occupation at the Kroger and Sunflower grocery stores. He liked to deer hunt and was a member of Still Hunting Club. He attended Covenant Life Ministries. Mr. Vaughn is survived by his wife Mary Ann Teague Vaughn, his son Matthew Joseph Vaughn, his step-mother Peggy J. Vaughn and brother and sister-in-law Brad and Gill Vaughn, all of Millport, AL. He is also survived by his daughter Amanda Nesbit of Dallas TX, sister Sheliah Dykes of Memphis, TN and sister and brother-in-law Judy and Gary Harrington of Colorado Springs, CO, and his three step-sisters and step- brothers-in-law Peggy Jean and Bruce Young of Warren, OH, Suzette and Willie Durdahl of St. Paul, MN and Cynthia Bishop of Columbus, MS and four grandchildren.
