Conner Hudson Campassi passed away on March 7, 2015 in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 26. Conner is survived by his parents, Drs. Robin and Helen Campassi of Columbus, Mississippi and his sister, Claire Campassi Herndon of Memphis, Tennessee. Conner was born on January 5, 1989 in Amory, Mississippi to Drs. Robin and Helen Campassi. He graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering, where he was the recipient of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship. Conner attended Ole Miss (2006-2007) and was awarded the Freshman Achievement Award in Computer Science, an honor in which one recipient from the entire class was chosen. He graduated with honors from Heritage Academy in 2006. After graduating from The Ohio State University, he began working as a software developer for Verizon, and then as a software developer and gaming designer for S77, a graphics and animation company. Until his recent passing, Conner worked independently as a graphics and animation developer, musician and artist. His family and friends remember him as a loving, kindhearted, humorous, intelligent, talented and creative man who had an enormous impact on his community.Conner was accomplished at creating industrial electronic music and often brought the greater Columbus, Ohio area together through his musical talent. He was a witty, dedicated, spectacular individual who also loved art and who was passionate about and skilled in not only computer animation but also drawing by hand. Conner's visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon, with a memorial service to follow at the Fletcher-Jones Building at First United Methodist Church, 602 College Street, Columbus, Mississippi.
