REVIS SHELTON Revis Shelton age 82 died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Thursday, April 02, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Shelton and Bro. Robert Gillis officiating, burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Shelton was born on Tuesday, April 05, 1932 in to the late Revis Lee and Rebecca Louise Johnson Shelton. Mr. Shelton was a member of Stateline Baptist Church, and the former owner/operator of Shelton's Service Station & Grocery for nearly 50 years. He got his nickname from customers who called him "Rabbit" rather than Revis. He loved to hunt especially turkeys. He also enjoyed planting and working his garden. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Onnette Shelton and his brother Mack Shelton.
