Linda Jean Mahaffey Williams, age 66, of Montevallo, AL, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away May 13, 2015, at Chandler Health & Rehab Center in Alabaster, AL. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Gunter & Peel Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastors Terry and Shirley Hosmer officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be Saturday, May 16, 2015, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams was born April 13, 1949, in Shaw, MS, to the late Isaac Benjamin and Myrtle Mae Johnson Mahaffey. She was a member of Open Door Independent Church in Calera, AL. Mrs. Williams loved to read, sew, give people inspirational cards, and loved to make people laugh. Survivors include her husband, Robert Dale Williams of Montevallo, AL, sons, Timothy Dale Williams and his wife Glenda Fay of Montevallo, AL, and Kenneth Wayne Williams and his wife Zane of Montevallo, AL, and grandchildren, Ashley Jeannette Williams, Courtney Renee Williams, Halee Hicks, Jonathan Hicks, and Dustin Hicks. Pallbearers will be Robert Lowe, Chandler Lowe, Andrew Lowe, Trinity Wyers, Buddy Wyers, and Stanley Williams. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity
