WILLIE B. CREWS, JR Willie Burt Crews Jr. age 71 died Monday, May 18, 2015 at his residence in Columbus. Services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Young officiating. Burial will follow at Murrah's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mr. Crews was born on Friday, July 02, 1943 in Hamilton, MS to the late Willie B. and Lalon Yarbrough Crews. He was a retired truck driver, an avid Ole Miss, and NASCAR fan, and enjoyed watching TV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Cecil Ray Crews, and his great grandson Brayden Lee Barksdale. Survivors include: His wife: Mary Ruth Crews Columbus MS One Daughter: Lisa Crews, Columbus, MS One Son: Timothy Crews (Tammy), Columbus, MS One Brother: Donnie Crews (Brenda), Columbus, MS Step-Daughters: Nina Aldridge, Columbus, MS Tina Sumrall, Gulfport, MS Step-Sons: Gary Richardson (Lisa), Columbus, MS Perry Richardson, Columbus, MS Mike Richardson (Mindy), Newport Beach, CA 11 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren 3 nephews, and 1 niece The Pallbearers will be: David Crews, Perry Richardson, Teddy Strickland, Jeff Hope, Phillip Ferguson, and Terry Hope The Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gary Richardson, Jimmy Warner, James McCool, and Doug Nicely.
