Charles Alfred "Al" Moore, age 81, of Columbus, MS, passed away May 20, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 2:00 PM at New Life Assembley of God Church with Bro. Jack Medley officiating and Rev. Kenny Gardner assisting. The interment will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visiation will be Friday, May 222015, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mr. Moore was born December 28, 1933, in Booneville, MS, to the late Clyde and Jewel Shook Moore. He retired as a truck driver after many years working for Waters Truck & Tractor and Hollis Roofing. Mr. Moore attended the New Life Assembly of God Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Black Moore, and son, Larry Moore. Survivors include his sons, Gary Moore and his wife Rita of Columbus, MS, and Jerry Marsh and his wife Katherine of Columbus, MS, daughters, Joyce Edwards and her husband Lester of Columbus, MS, and Debbie Harris and her husband Lamar of Columbus, MS, like- a- daughter, June Braddock of Philadelphia, MS, brother, Ronald Moore of Booneville, MS, sister, Betty Wilson of Booneville, MS, grandchildren, Shannon Harris, Lucas Harris, Katie Hope Harris, Lance Moore, Chad Moore, Blake Moore, Dale Moore, Chris Marsh, Tyler Marsh, and David Edwards, six great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lucas Harris, Shannon Harris, Lance Moore, Chad Moore, Blake Moore, and Dale Moore.
