RILEY NOLAND Robert Riley Noland, age 89, of Steens, MS, passed away July 8, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Steve Brown officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2015, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Mr. Noland was born July 23, 1925, in Columbus, MS, to the late Howard Benjamin and Annie Harris Noland. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army Air Corp. Mr. Noland received his accounting degree from Mississippi State University and spent his professional career farming with his late brother, Frank Noland. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 67 years, Mildred Ellis Noland, and brothers, Frank P. Noland and Howard H. Noland. Survivors include his daughters, Susan Boone of Tupelo, MS, Pat Crouse and her husband Butch of Columbus, MS, and Marilyn Pack and her husband Nate of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Stephen Deaton Gannaway, Jr. and his wife Kathy, Caroline Gannaway Anderson and her husband Steve, Heather Gannaway Alexander and her husband Chris, Robert Nathan Pack and his wife Christin, and Andrew David Pack and his wife Clara Ann, and 7 great grandchildren.
