Evelyn Jane Lister Elliott, age 74, of Columbus, MS, passed away July 20, 2015, at Windsor Place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 2:00 PM at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Sara Windham officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Elliott was born January 8, 1941, in Natchez, MS, to the late James David and Alfreda McNeil Lister, Sr. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Mississippi University for Women. Mrs. Elliott was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and retired from Cadence Bank after many years in the banking profession. Survivors include her sons, Michael Elliott of WI, Steven Elliott of NC, brother, William Lister, grandchildren, Jessica Elliott, Scott Elliott, Charlie Elliott, and Jack Elliott, and great granddaughter, Addison Elliott. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS, 39213.
