MARGARET SHACKELFORD Margaret McDill Shackelford age 79 died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday July 25, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Shackelford was born on Thursday, January 30, 1936 in Liberty, AL to the late Joseph Dee and Z.O. Woolbright McDill. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a retired employee of United Technologies after 48 years. She was a volunteer at the Vernon, AL library researching geneology. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Reed McDill and Willie Dee McDill. Survivors include: Her husband: Thurman "Bud" Shackelford, Columbus MS Daughters: Wanda Channell (Ronnie), Birmingham, AL Donna Jenkins (George "Allen"), Columbus, MS Son: Richard "Lee" Shackelford (Becky), Columbus, MS Sister: Mavis Brown (Eugene), Ethelsville, AL Seven Grandchildren: Jennifer Burtram (Michael) Amanda Mersing Jonathan Jenkins (Cynthia) Joseph Jenkins Aaron Jenkins (Beka) Judy Lynn Shackelford Nesbit (Ben) Michelle Shackelford The Pallbearers will be: Charles West, Tim McDill, Jerry McDill, Jonathan Jenkins, Joseph Jenkins, and Aaron Jenkins The Honorary Pallbearers will be: Charlie Studdard, Greg Harris, Gerald Riles, Lowell Hughes, Jim Newell, Howard Jenkins, Gene Brown, R.D.
