Madeline Honnoll Mashburne, age 88, of Columbus, MS, passed away August 4, 2015, at Aurora Health & Rehabilitation. Graveside services will be Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Egger Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Mordecai officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, August 8, 2015, from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Mashburne was born October 23, 1926, in Columbus, MS, to the late Roy Bascom and Mattie Westbrooks Honnoll. While living in Louisville, GA, she worked at Southeastern Inc. for over 25 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mashburne was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Sliker and Harvey Mashburne, brother, Roy Honnoll, and sisters, Ruby Hill and Ruth Wallace. Survivors include nephews, Tommy Hill of Columbus, MS, Terry Wallace of McComb, MS, and Steve Honnoll of Lincoln, CA, and nieces Martha Woods of Ponta Gorda, FL, Barbara Ward of Denham Springs, LA, and Carolyn Pickens of Columbus, MS. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS, 39213.
