Lucile Elizabeth "Lucy" Borland Madan, age 44, died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at her home in Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. A private, family graveside service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Friendship Cemetery with Michael Stone officiating. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The daughter of James A. Borland and Peggy Yarborough Phillips, Lucy was born August 7, 1970 in El Paso, TX. She was a graduate of S.D. Lee High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She continued her education in the Nursing program and received the LPN degree from East MS Community College. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and attended Vivrant Church. She was predeceased by her grandparents Sedgie and Lucile Yarborough and Harry and Mildred Borland. She is survived by her mother and step-father Peggy Y. and Billy Phillips, her father and step-mother Jim and Margaret Ann Borland, her daughter Miriam Madan, her sons Noah and Gabriel Madan, all of Columbus, her brother and sister-in-law Bo and Alison Borland of Ross, CA, her sister Caroline Borland of Jackson and a large extended family of step-brothers and step-sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
