Aubrey Curtis Belue, Jr., age 84, died Saturday, August 8, 2015 at his home in Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, August 10, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home with Wes Brown, officiating, assisted by Sid Latham, Larry Rouse, Ore Jones and Gary Murray. Burial will immediately follow in Friendship Cemetery, with Melvin Curry leading the graveside service. The son of the late Aubrey Curtis and Lola Grace McCrary Belue, Mr. Belue was born July 23, 1931 in Columbus, MS. For approximately sixty-three years, he served sixteen church congregations in Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi preaching the Gospel. He completed his preaching work at the West Point Church of Christ, where he was a member. For nearly twenty years he he taught Bible classes and mentored young men entering the field of preaching and officiated or assisted at many funerals. He did a Bible study on Facebook and a radio program called Bible Answers on WTWG AM 1050. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters Betty Belue Haynes and Maxine Roberts and his wife Elsie Gwendolyn Smith Belue. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Stephen C. and Beth Belue of Pensacola, FL, and his daughters and sons-in-law Beth Belue of Columbus, Barbara and Alan Williamson of Morgantown, West Virginia, and Beverly and Tim Hamilton of Athens, AL. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Pallbearers will be Ore Jones, Gary Murray, Mark Lewis, Ed Williams, and Frankie Young and Bobby Huffman. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Williamson, Ben Williamson, David Williamson, Michael Belue, Will Hamilton, Sam Hamilton, John Jones, Andy Wilson, Matt Walters, Larry Rouse, Sid Latham and Eural L. Bingham.
