Paul Eugene McClelland, age 85, of Columbus, MS passed away August 20, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. The funeral Service will be Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Delgado officiating. Burial will follow at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Pickens Co, Alabama. Mr. McClelland was born November 3, 1929 in Craig Springs, Ms to the late Cecil Jackson McClellan and Daisy Oglesby McClellan. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army/Air Force and the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1956 and fought in the Korean War. He was a master mechanic by trade and received his Associate's Degree from the University of Tokyo. He worked to support his family since he was a young boy. Paul's hobbies were singing, playing guitar and fishing. His family members were his best friends and loved to gather together as much as possible. He will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. McClelland is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 40 years, Marie Bonuso McClelland, whom he loved and missed every day; and his brothers, Curtis McClellan and Max McClellan. Mr. McClelland is survived by his wife, Carlee Lovell McClelland; his son Paul McClelland and his wife, Susan; daughter Karen McClelland Perkins and her husband, Charlie; daughter Lori McClelland Miles and her husband, Terry; son Glenn McClelland and his wife Susan; step-daughters Angela Barberi and Mechelle Blair; grandsons, Anthony McClelland, Christian Lingle, Casey, Will and Paul Blair, and Matt Funderburk; granddaughters Elise and Ashley Lingle and Tessa Funderburk; sisters, Marie Pate and Delores Spicer; aunt, Avis Wallace (Robert); and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the charity of the giver's choice.
