Barbara J. Robinson, age 76, of Columbus, MS, passed away September 6, 2015, at Vineyard Court Nursing Center. Funeral services will be Friday, September 11, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Major Allen Phillips officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitaion will be Friday, September 11, 2015, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Robinson was born August 23, 1939, in Columbus, MS, to the late Jessie James and Louise Augusta Sanders Humphrey. She was a retired beautician and enjoyed volunteering at local nursing homes. Mrs. Robinson was a soldier of the Salvation Army Church and was a volunteer at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Survivors include her sons, Darrell Robinson and his wife Tracy of Wilmer, AL, and Jeffrey Robinson and his wife Charlene of Creola, AL, daughters, Carol Nelson of Cedar Rapids, IA, Mary Catherine Dunn and her husband Adam of LaCenter, WA, and Stephanie Howard and her husband Will of Tibbie, AL, sister, Becky Chilton of Big Springs, TX, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 8, Columbus, MS, 39703.
