Becky Marmon Coward, age 63, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at her home in Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Graveside services, with Rev. Chad Kingsbury officiating, will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Macon, MS., where her parents are buried. The daughter of the late Elmer Lloyd Marmon, Sr. and Mildred Louise Dickson Marmon, Mrs. Coward was born December 27, 1951 in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from high school in Montgomery, AL and studied classical organ music at Belhaven University. She was active in rescuing cats and llamas from life- threatening situations. She and her husband rescued more than ten cats and three llamas from different homes. She is survived by her husband David R. Coward and her sister and brother-in-law Sherry and Charles Harmon, all of Columbus. She is also survived by her aunts Mrs. Nicky Stuart of Macon, MS and Mrs. Earline Dugan of Pontotoc, MS and three nephews Edward Harmon, Bill Harmon, and Josh Harmon and their families.
