Charlie Lewis Dale, Sr., age 73, of Columbus, MS, passed away December10, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be Monday, December 14,2015, at 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chape l with Dr. Shawn Pa rker officiating.
The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus.Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 2015, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Gunter& Peel Funeral Home.
Mr. Dale was born D ecember 14, 19 41, in Columbus, MS, to the late Albert and Mabel Blankenship Dale. Charlie was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School and member of the First Baptist Church and Jack Marshall's Sunday School Class. He was in business as Dale Refrigeration for over 50 years an d a pr oud Scout Master of Troop 12 for over 10 years with the troop winning many awards at Camp Palila in Louisville, MS. He was an avid hunter and member of Colonel's Corner Camp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Dale.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Nell Dale of Columbus, MS,
sons, Chip Dale of Columbus, MS, Andy Dale of Columbus, MS, and Brad Dale ad
his wife Rosanna of Pensacola, FL, grandchildren, Erika Davis, Christian
Dale, Ansley Dale, and Lawson Dale, brother, Johnny Dale and his wife Diann,
sister, Anita Honeycutt, mother-in-law, Marjorie Beasley, and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Craddock Boyd, Ray McIntyre, Ronnie Hatcher, Mike
Perkerson, Carey Upton, Farrell Booker, Henry Vaughn, and Milton Thomas.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude
