John Oliver Staggs
April 10, 1933 — December 22, 2015
Mr. Staggs was born April 10, 1933, in Pottsville, AR, to the late John Oliver and Anne Belle Tedford Staggs. He served in the United States Army for several years. Mr. Staggs was a long time resident of Hollandale, MS. He retired from Protein Products as a welder and maintenance supervisor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Guy Staggs and Lewis Staggs, and sisters, Rea Davis, Faye Lacy, Dorothy Beard and Joyce Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Noma Dye Staggs of West Point, MS, daughter, Jonie Tharp and her husband Tony of West Point, MS, sisters, Geraldine Delancy of Oceola, AR, and Nola Young of Bellville, IL, and grandson John Michael Stockton of Starkville, MS.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
