Martha Ann Brackin Gilbreath, age 80, formerly of Columbus , MS , died January 13, 2016 at Homestead of Dennison, Dennison , TX . Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Services will be Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jim Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Fernbank, Al. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

The daughter of the late Lee Ellis and Mattie Bell Aycock Brackin, Mrs. Gilbreath was born June 22, 1935 in the Longview community of Oktibbeha County , MS .  She was employed for many years as a waitress at Shoney’s in Columbus . She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Joe W. Gilbreath.

She is survived by her brothers Jerry Brackin (Helen) of Caledonia , James L. Smith (Wanda), of Cullman, AL,

Ronnie Brackin (Betsy) of Columbus and her sister Ouida Maney (Wilber) of Atlanta , GA , and several nieces and nephews.
