Herbert Grady Graham
December 27, 1924 — January 22, 2016
2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday,
January 25, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Ferrell
Hester officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship
Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Graham was born December 27, 1924, in Lowndes County, MS, to the
late Selma Lee and Inez Mason Graham. He was a veteran of WWII serving in
the United States Army. Mr. Graham worked for many years for Nabors Motor
Company and Burford Electric. He participated in the WCBI Radio Show called
Sweethearts of the Air and also sang with the Possom Town Barber Shop Choral
Society. Mr. Graham served on the Board of Directors for the Sunnybrook
Children's Home in Ridgleland, MS, and was a member of the Church of Christ
where he served as deacon and song leader. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewel Leon Goodman Graham, and
second wife, Virginia Yeatman Graham.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Jewell Elmore Graham of Columbus,
MS, sons, Herbert Grady "Sonny" Graham, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Columbus,
MS, Stephen Douglas "Steve" Graham and his wife Erica of Brandon, MS, Jeff
Elmore and his wife Lisa of Columbus, MS, and Bryan Elmore and his wife
Jennifer of Columbus, MS, daughters, Soneia Beth Graham Galloway and her
husband Dupree of Northport, AL, Pam Willingham and her husband Stan of
Amory, MS, and Sonja Ferrell and her husband Ben of Columbus, MS, brother,
Bobby Lee Graham of West Point, MS, sister, Barbara Jo Graham Pinkerton of
West Point, MS, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eric Graham, Daren Graham, Todd Graham, Bryan
Elmore and Ben Ferrell.
