Robert Yates Neaves, Jr.

Robert Yates Neaves, Jr., 55 years old, of Columbus , died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson , MS. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. His funeral service will be Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church beginning at 2:00 PM, with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The son of the late Robert Yates and Delories Sanderson Neaves, Robert was born December 16, 1960 in Greenwood , MS . He was a 1979 graduate of Stephen D. Lee High School in Columbus and a 1983 graduate of Mississippi State University . An avid fan of all MSU sports, he was also a member of First Baptist Church . Robert was an Accounting Clerk at Four County and had been employed there for almost 27 years. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Delories Neaves and his brother Scott Neaves.

He is survived by his two sisters and brothers-in-law Deedra and Lee Clapper and Donna and Carlton Luckey, all of Madison, MS and nieces Ashlee Clapper and Amber Grace Luckey and a nephew Daniel Clapper.

Pallbearers will be Hal Truitt, Tommy Griffin, Kevin Perkins, Chuck Younger, David Vise, Andy Wright, David Lundin and Lon VonKhon. Honorary pallbearers will be Houston Everett, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bray and Employees of 4 County.

His family would like to express their gratitude to his caregivers.
