BENNY BROWN

Benny Sam Brown, age 69, of Hamilton, MS died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Santuary Hospice House in Tupelo. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2015 in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Raper officiating. Memorial & Gunter and Peel Funeral Homes directing. Visitation will be 9:30 am until service time Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home.

Benny was born September 26, 1946 to the late Willie Frank Brown and late Jeanette Clark Brown in Houston, MS. He was also preceded in death by his brother Bobby C. Brown. He attended Aberdeen High School and was of the Baptist faith. He worked at many varied occupations over his life, as a police officer for Aberdeen Police Depatment, construction work, certified electrician, truck driver and his last years of employment were as a security guard at Kerr McGee.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Brown Johnson and Rachel Brown Bryant (Kenny) both of Nettleton, MS; brother, William J. "Bill" Brown (Margie) of Columbus, MS; sisters, Sue Seal (Larry) of Picayune, MS; Frankie E. Legg and Betty Kate "Katie" Sanford both of Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Jake Johnson (Briley), Austin Johnson, Keith Brown, Kayla Brown, Carrie Bryant and Kenny Bryant, Jr. and the mother of his children, Mavis N, Jones of Nettleton, MS.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Doug Thompson, Johnny Kelly, Valerie Miller and employees of Santuary Hospice.
