Bruce Vernon Strohminger age 83, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at LifePointe Village in Southaven , MS . Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2016 at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church in Sturgis , MS with Rev. James Lewis officiating; burial with U.S. Air Force Honors will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on hour prior to service at the church. Memorial Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Strohminger was born July 12, 1932 in Cambridge , Massachusetts to the late Vernon George and Ethel Christy Strohminger. He was a member of Desota Hills Baptist Church in Southaven , MS and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was the past president of the East Columbus Lions Club. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cindy Hannaford; sister, Carol Burrelli; and brother George Strohminger.

Survivors include his wife Nanelle (Nan) Strohminger of Southave, MS; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Laura Strohminger of Jacksonville, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and John McLaughlin of Venice, FL; grandchildren, Leigh Anne and Drew Holleman, Morgan and Jordan Hart, Caty Strohminger, Elizabeth Strohminger, Sara and Lee Vaccaro and 7 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Gary Morgan, Brode Morgan, Jim Morgan, Drew Holleman, Jordan Hart, and Howard Jenkins
