Willie Green Brown
December 22, 1931 — May 1, 2016
Mr. Brown was born December 22, 1931, in Lamar County, AL, to the late James Molloy and Addie Mae Scott Brown. He retired as a supervisor from Pepsie and also retired from Cintas Uniforms. After retirement, Mr. Brown worked from home with the help of his daughter, Amy, in the home appliance repair business. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Brown loved his family, enjoyed telling stories, loved his church, and never lost his faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leroy Brown, James Harvey Brown, Raymond Brown, Enloe Brown, and Cleo Brown, and sisters, Lucille Wright, Evelyn Duncan, and Ruth Hayes.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Virgie Ladame Brown of Columbus, MS, son, Jack Brown of Columbus, MS, daughters, Joyce Stallings and her husband Robert of Columbus, MS, and Amy Pool and her husband Robert of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Kenny Brown, Adam Brown and his wife Robbie, Tiffany Bobitt, Curtis Brown and his wife Christine, Brittany Lee, and Sydney Hawkins, and great grandchildren, Hunter Brown, Walker Brown, Bryce Brown, Kaylee Bobitt, Brianna Bobitt, Brody Brown, and Drake Brown.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Pool, Robbie Stallings, Jason Bowen, Chris Pike, Rick Conner, and Ben Jordan.
