Hazel Dean Taylor

Mrs. Hazel Dean Barham Taylor, age 88, of Columbus , died May 16, 2016 at her residence. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Gardner officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Furnace Hill Cemetery , Vernon , AL .

The daughter of the late Clarence Boyce and Dollie Frances Whitaker Barham, Mrs. Taylor was born April 30, 1928 in Bedford , AL . A longtime member of Living Faith Tabernacle, Mrs. Taylor retired in 1993 from United Technologies after twenty-two years of employment. She enjoyed working in her garden, growing flowers, feeding her hummingbirds and working all kind of puzzles. She lived to see five generations of her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers William Lawrence Barham and Clarence Boyce Barham and sisters Ola Mae Brown Thompson, Mary Louise Baucom, Margaret Hopkins and Ruth Barham and her husband Nollie Lee Taylor.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Dorothy Bowen and Titus, and Maggie Criddle- Hickman and Robert , all of Steens, MS; Barbara Bryant and Bill, Angie Taylor Holley and Patsy Sprayberry and Phil, all of Columbus, MS and son and daughter-in-law Nollie Taylor, Jr. and Jennifer of Palmer , AK. She is also survived by her brother David Earl Barham of Caledonia , MS and a half-brother Clarence B. Barham of Silver Srpings, MO and half-sister Laura Glenn and her husband Buddy of Columbus, twenty grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Darrell Holley, Gene Holley, Phillip Sprayberry, Tranpas Criddle, Todd Criddle, and Toby Criddle. Honorary pallbearers will be Quint Bowen, Brent Bowen, Titus Bowen, Phil Sprayberry, Bill Bryant, Bill Bryant, Jr., Richard Holley, Trey Taylor and Jase Taylor.
