Deline Cowart Brown, age 83, of Columbus, MS, passed away May 28, 2016,,
at Windsor Place. Funeral services will be

PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Plymon officiating. The
interment will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.

the service at Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown was born November 8, 1932, in McShan, AL, to the late L. V.
and Mary Alice Robinson Cowart, Sr. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Freewill
Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in
death by her husband Wilson Brown, brothers, William "Bunk" Cowart, L. V.
Cowart, Jr., Owen Cowart and Sonny Cowart and sister, Laudice Perrigin.
Heaven gained a special angel with a heart of gold and a smile that
would warm your heart. She never met a stranger. She had a passion for the
weather and kept a journal for over 30 years up until the time of her
stroke. She enjoyed sending cards, letters, and communicating with family
and friends on Facebook.
Survivors include her daughter, Jewell Johnson of Caledonia, MS,
brothers, Fred Cowart and his wife Faye of McShan, AL, and Tommy Cowart and
his wife Susan of McShan, AL, sisters, Loften Peeks of Northport, AL, Betty
Jourdan of Columbus, MS, and Sue Plymon and her husband Roy of Ethelsville,
AL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Perrigin, Bobby Cowart, Terry Jourdan, Kelsey
Taylor, Aurthur Winters, and Johnny Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of Windsor Place, employees of
Baptist Memorial Hospice, Dr. John Stanback and employees of North MS
Medical Clinic, and Mamie Lowery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
