George David Pridmore

September 7, 1933 — June 9, 2016

George David Pridmore, Sr., 82, went to be with his Father in Heaven on June 9, 2016 at his residence surrounded by family and friends after facing Mesothelioma, an aggressive form of cancer caused by exposure to Asbestos. He worked with Pridmore Insulation, Inc. and served in the United States Army.

Affectionately known as “Paw Paw,” Mr. Pridmore was a loving Husband,

Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and friend who enjoyed gardening and giving

away the vegetables he grew. He was born September 7, 1933 in Pickens

County, Alabama , and is survived by a Son, David Pridmore (Debbie) of

Nashville , TN ; a Daughter, Joanie (Rob) Moore, of Starkville , MS ;

Grandchildren, Michael Pridmore, Jonathan Payne, Tyler Moore, Rachel Moore,

Hayden Moore, Jessica Moore; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Mr. Pridmore was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Jacqueline

“Jackie” Pridmore, his parents, T.U. and Rosie Pridmore, and his brothers,

Dewitt Pridmore, M.L. Pridmore, Boyd Pridmore, and T.U. Pridmore, Jr.

So, we know there was quite a reunion in Heaven when he arrived!

He also loved attending Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church,

where he had many close friends. Visitation will be at Gunter & Peel Funeral

Home on Saturday, June 11 from 4:00 – 7:00pm . A celebration of Mr. Pridmore’s life will be held at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 2:00pm , Sunday, June 12, 2016 followed by a graveside service shortly thereafter.

In addition to his grandsons, pallbearers will include Nephews Scott Pridmore, Mark Pridmore, Bo Buxton, Joey Pridmore, Patrick Pridmore, Brad Pridmore and Marc Pridmore.

The celebration will be led by his pastor, Tim Lee. Donations in Mr. Pridmore’s honor may be made to Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church, as well as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
