Rachel Lee Spencer
September 27, 1929 — July 20, 2016
Mrs. Spencer was born September 27, 1929, in Sunflower County, MS, to the late Charlie and Ivy Lee Wright Kelley. She worked for a number of years as a seamstress and in ladies clothing retail before moving to Columbus from Greenville in 1986. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Greenville American Legion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger C. Spencer.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Bennett and her husband Robin of Columbus, MS, and Brenda Adams and her husband Jerry of Jacksonville, AR, sons, Bradley Spencer of Greenville, MS, and Jerry Spencer and his wife Vickie of Leland, MS, sisters, Kat Wilson of Caledonia, MS, and Mary Shaw of Caledonia, MS, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous neices and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
