Danny Leroy “Dan” Holley, age 57, died Thursday, August 4, 2016 at his home in Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Father Robert Dore, Celebrant, at Annunciation Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM in the atrium of the church. Burial will be in Camp Ground Methodist Cemetery in Noxapater, MS at 1:00 PM.

The son of the late Percy Leroy Holley, Dan was born February 7, 1959 in Jackson, MS.   He was a graduate of Winston Academy in Louisville, MS and a summa cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Dan was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church and was a stockbroker in Columbus for thirty-two years.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Hope and Don Hurst of Columbus and his sons and daughter-in-law Sloan Holley of Oxford and Hamp and Emily Holley of Columbus, his mother Mrs. Rolene Young Holley of Noxapater and his sister and brother-in-law  Donna and Steve Barnett of Carthage, MS. He is also survived by his two granddaughters Mary Hampton and Margaret Sloan Durst.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Miller, Ralph Weems, Will Spann, Kerry Pittman, Jay Jordan and Jeff Shepherd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Annunciation Catholic School, 223 North Browder, Columbus, MS 39702.
