Billy Harold Sims

at his residence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016 , at
2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al Hamm officiating. The
interment will immediately follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Lamar County,
AL. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 , from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at
Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Sims was born January 10, 1940, in Lamar County, AL, to the late
Luther E. and Beulah Wallace Sims. He was a veteran of the United States
Army and attended Mississippi State University. Mr. Sims worked for a
number of years for Dill and Norris before becoming self employed for many
years in his local family business. He was a Baptist and in addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary W. Sims.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Baldwin Sims of Columbus, MS, sons,
Stephen S. Sims and his wife Lisa of Steens, MS, and Jason P. Sims and his
wife Katie of Columbus, MS, brothers, Luther Earl Sims and his wife Pat of
Columbus, MS, and Lewis M. Sims and his wife Betty of Columbus, MS, sister,
Lois Derby and her husband Mike of Columbus, MS, and grandson, Stephen
Bradley Sims of Steens, MS.
Pallbearers will be Ben Sala, Colvin Morrow, Kevin Dees, David Kelly,
Donald Werner, and Jason King.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Bishop, Buddy Easley, Kenny Smith, Tim Mayatt, Tommy Stone, Frankie Odom, Carl Doumit, Paul Clardy, Mike Fittes, John Rosser, Stacy Morris, Wayne Beard, Larry Turnman, Mike Law, Gene Guyton, Jim Parsons, Dr. Brett Brown, Dr. John King, Stephanie Whitmeyer, Kelly King,Tony Bjorkland, Camellia Hospice, all members of the 12 Man Supper Club, all members of the T. S.
