Sara J. Dove

Mrs. Sara J. Dove, age 80, of Columbus died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Aurora Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gunter & Peel Funeral Home.  Services, with Rev. Don Harding officiating, will be Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the time of the service. Interment will immediately follow in Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.

The daughter of the late George M. and Elnora Pogue Ouzts, Mrs. Dove was born September 28, 1935 in Meridian, MS.  She was a long-time member of Kolola Springs Baptist Church and was employed at Caledonia Manufacturing for many years.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother George M. Ouzts, Jr. and her husband Bobby Ray Dove.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Dove of Caledonia and her three sons and daughter-in-law David Dove of Steens, Bobby Dove of Columbus and Tommy and Amanda Dove of Ethelsville, AL and five grandchildren Justin Dove, Chad Dove, Landon Dove, Jordan Dove and Chesney Frye (Justin).

Pallbearers will be Billy Welch, Kenneth Pounders, Charlie Culpepper, Ben Hardin Chad Dove and Justin Dove. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Harding, Walt Willis, Glenn Scarborough, Elzie Murphy and Charlie Farrar.
