Larry Wayne Ferguson, age 66, of Columbus, MS, passed away September 5,
2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East of Memphis, TN. Funeral services
will be
Friday, September 9, 2016
, at
2:00 PM
at Memorial Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Steve Lammons officiating. The interment will immediately
follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the
service.
Mr. Ferguson was born November 5, 1949, in Columbus, MS, to the late
Charlie Dean and Ruby Hazel Shepherd Ferguson. He worked for a number of
years for Monroe Tufline and Kerr McGee. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by a brother, James Ricky Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Thrasher Ferguson of Columbus, MS,
sons, Eric Ferguson and his wife Mindy and Daniel Ferguson, both of
Columbus, MS, step children, Anita Turner of Columbus, MS, Ike Faris of
Columbus, MS, James Faris of Columbus, MS, Penny South of Vernon, AL,
Sherman Faris of Caledonia, MS, and Bryan Faris of Columbus, MS, brothers,
James Ferguson of Columbus, MS, Cameron Ferguson of Millport, AL, and
Phillip Ferguson of Columbus, MS, sisters, Ann Barton of Pickensville, AL,
Kay Anderson of Columbus, MS, and Vickie Benoist of Jackson, MS, 17
grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Patterson, Lee Ray, Randall Barton, Ike
Faris, James Faris, Sherman Faris, Tyler Faris, and Jay Boy Ferguson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barney Conn, Glenn Anderson, Chuck
Anderson, Billy Thrasher, Jay Ferguson, Mark Turner, Gene Barton, Doug
South, Ryan Turner, Luke Turner, Ricky Ferguson, Cameron Ferguson, Bryan
Ferguson, Phillip Ferguson, and James Ferguson.
